      <image:title>About Us</image:title>
<image:caption>A/Z Outfitters was established in 1948 by Dix Anderson. He began operating up Dutch Creek in the East Kootenays of British Columbia. Amongst the territory, backcountry cabins were built, only accessible by horse. Today, we operate the same way, using horses to pack up gear and hunt the mountains, and old cabins to stay in. In 1990, Bill DuBois bought the territory and continued guiding a variety of hunts including: Elk, Moose, Mountain Goat, Mule Deer, and Black Bear. In 2010, Bill’s son, Brent DuBois bought the company and remains current owner. As of 2016 we have expanded our territory into Toby Creek, meaning we hunt 1100 sq. miles, with about 400 sq miles of this territory being inside the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy with nine cabin camps. This is truly a prime trophy hunting destination, a real slice of pristine wilderness that is yours to be seen, featuring Elk, Goat, Bear, Moose, Deer and Cougar hunts. Our impressive game, experienced guides and noble horses are surely provide hunters the hunt of a lifetime.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Goat Hunts - Goat Hunts with A/Z Outfitters</image:title>
<image:caption>Goat Hunting is offered during the mid-September-mid-November months. These trips are suited for clients that enjoy the beauty of the higher peaks, and are driven for 9 days of climbing the mountain tops. This experience is all inclusive. Cabin-cooked meals, a well broke horse, and knowledgeable guide are all taken care of for you! We begin with a ride from Dutch Creek’ Trail Head to Big Cabin, a 6 hour ride through timber, open valley’s and beautiful, rugged landscapes. Day 2-8 are dedicated to hunting for goat. Typically, we ride from Big Cabin each day to various hunting lookouts and points. We glass the peaks until a billy is spotted, then plan the approach from there. Once you have successfully hunted your Billy, it is up to you how much longer you would like to stay in camp. Day 9, the last day of the hunt, is a day dedicated for riding back to the Dutch Creek Trail Head. Our biggest goal is for our clients to enjoy their experience. The hunt is YOURS. We do not need a set schedule or routine if you have something else you would prefer. Our guides and wranglers are simply there to support and guide you, and to ensure we are operating legally and safely. We want to do everything in our power to give you your dream hunt, and an experience you’ll treasure forever.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Newsletter - Spring Hunting Newsletter</image:title>
<image:caption>Overview Since 1948 we have hunted Goat, Elk, Moose, Mule Deer, and Bears in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. As 3rd generation outfitters, we have witnessed countless hunters experience the hunt of a lifetime, many of which continue coming back time and time again. We feel very thankful to our faithful clients, guides and crew and are feeling very optimistic on what future years will bring. SPRINGTIME- Bring on the 2022 Bear Hunts! After a long and cold winter, the snow is finally beginning to melt and the green grass is starting to show. Bears will soon be coming out of hibernation and wandering throughout the valleys. It is this time of year that we start fixing up our riding saddles and packing saddles, checking horses for ticks, buying young horses to start, and organizing all our gear. AND of course- preparing for our spring black bear hunts! This year is going to be a great one- we are beyond excited to take our 2022 hunters into the bush and strive to hunt down their dream black bear. From our Toby Creek Territory all the way through to our Dutch Creek Territory, 700,000 acres of wilderness is yours to be seen. As 3rd generation outfitters, we know the land like the back of our hands. With our backcountry cabin camps, we can roam from peak to peak by horseback, covering many miles from day to day. Black bears live amongst the alder brush and open slides along Toby and Dutch Creek and our knowledgeable guides have the background experience on where to sit and glass. The Purcell wilderness is an experience in itself. The hours spent riding from the trailhead to camp, and then to various glassing spots, is full of breathtaking views. It’s always a highlight for us to share this unique landscape for the duration of the hunt. Although we are fully booked for our 2022 season, we are still taking bookings for spring bear hunts in 2023. Our prices are likely to increase in the near future, so we encourage clients to book their hunts now if they want a chance at our current rates. Happy Spring everyone! -A/Z Outfitters</image:caption>
