About Us

A/Z Outfitters was established in 1948 by Dix Anderson. He began operating up Dutch Creek in the East Kootenays of British Columbia. Amongst the territory, backcountry cabins were built, only accessible by horse. Today, we operate the same way, using horses to pack up gear and hunt the mountains, and old cabins to stay in. In 1990, Bill DuBois bought the territory and continued guiding a variety of hunts including: Elk, Moose, Mountain Goat, Mule Deer, and Black Bear.
In 2010, Bill’s son, Brent DuBois bought the company and remains current owner. As of 2016 we have expanded our territory into Toby Creek, meaning we hunt 1100 sq. miles, with about 400 sq miles of this territory being inside the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy with nine cabin camps.

This is truly a prime trophy hunting destination, a real slice of pristine wilderness that is yours to be seen, featuring Elk, Goat, Bear, Moose, Deer and Cougar hunts. Our impressive game, experienced guides and noble horses are surely provide hunters the hunt of a lifetime.
